The Origin of MPLS

MPLS or Multi-protocol Label Switching is an initiative by IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force). This technology integrates the information of Layer 2 into Layer 3, and hence simplifies and improves IP packet transfer. This technology was initially used by only major corporations and telecoms, but MPLS networks are now being incorporated by companies all over.

Shifting to MPLS is Easy

MPLS networks make companies more efficient. MPLS is scalable, more reliable and fast technology for networking. Shift to MPLS technology does not require extra infrastructure therefore more and more companies are going for it.
